What Is the Major Cause of Suffering?

As social animals, the major cause of suffering is the root fear of abandonment, of not belonging, of being too… (name your poison) to be wanted, desired, or included.

And so, what punishment have we enacted on people who are driven by this fear?

We cut them off and put them in isolation—

That is ignorance.

As always, the actual solution would be to work out the backbone so that one may stand with dignity and bend with humility, strong and flexible.
