Recovering Your True Nature

Within each of us is a wild self, a natural, powerful, vibrant aspect
of who we are, deeply rooted in our bodies, our intuition, and our raw vitality. Yet from an early age, most of us receive subtle (and not-so-subtle) messages that this wildness must be tamed,
controlled, or even hidden. Through education, family expectations, cultural standards, and religious training, we’re often encouraged to suppress this vital
energy in favor of conformity, predictability, and control. But the more we attempt
to control or diminish
our natural wildness, the more we find
ourselves feeling disconnected, depleted, and vaguely dissatisfied. The fire within—the life force that makes us feel genuinely alive—dims, and we begin to mistake mere survival for real living.

The path of Eros is fundamentally about reconnecting with and honoring this wild self. It encourages us
to recognize that our wildness isn’t a flaw or problem to be managed—it’s our deepest source of creativity, passion, and authentic power. The wild self isn’t reckless or destructive; rather, it is the most genuine expression of our human vitality, intuition, and emotional truth.

Recovering your wild self means reclaiming the fullness of who you genuinely are. It means allowing yourself to feel deeply, express authentically, and live boldly, unburdened by fear or conformity.

In doing so, you don’t just find happiness—you rediscover what it means to be truly, deeply, and passionately alive.

More Musings

The Age of Eros is a manifesto, a guide, to the coming of an era. This is a woman’s way.
