Love or Entrapment

Love is always and ever that which wants to free, to liberate, to be a catalyst for, an aid to the pre-existing process of self-liberation.

True love, oh that trickster, can look like anything but…

That which draws forth but then refuses to seal the deal, to lock it down, to take the bait of being “the one.” Refuses to be like climax, that ends the dance where the two can then go to sleep.

True love is much more akin to a wildlife refuge. From a love of all the creatures, you offer what you have equally to all.

Hopefully aiding in the repair and strengthening of any wounded, so that they can be returned to their natural habitat of open space.

You house those who cannot yet be safely returned, and in the process offer what heals and enlivens all humans: space with attention.

Yes, you enjoy, you love, you tend to. But the intention, the prayer, the hope is to release them back into the wild.

That feeling, that obsessive, unbearable draw is the great opportunity. The karmic knot within them is drawn to the karmic knot within you.

No, it is not your other half because we are all whole. It is the great opportunity.
