I Go Into the Most Hated

I go into the most hated and transform the understanding of it into the most high. From psychedelics to sexual energies, from marginalized people to incarceration. That which is discarded, like the earth. Those without food.

I go into the mind-ghettos and get the jewels out of the dung heap. I hold the jewels up to the world until the world feels the ache of what it has kept from itself.

Spiritual work does not like to get down and dirty. Does not like to be touched by this life. It likes to stay clean, to give commands from the clean house, to announce it has gotten to the top.

But there’s no fun at the top. Just a reputation to keep. Fair-weather friends. A lot of ideas. You don’t know anything in your bones, in the succulent marrow. That’s the soul’s work.

The crazy ones are our only hope of sanity.
