A woman’s value is not something she earns
It’s something she admits
The admission of which changes her life
Her modus operandi
Unalterably
Now, she must offer herself fully to the world
She will need the fuel that has gone to her
Preening
Mothering
Anxiety (yes, that is an expense)
Rest
Showboating
Consuming—wine, shopping, food, romance
Depriving—wine, shopping, food, romance
Ignoring
Obsessing
Maneuvering
Proving, pushing, corralling
Ruminating
Criticizing, critiquing, taking down
Praising, fawning, building up
Hiding, disengaging, fantasizing.
There is one way:
Unplug from the matrix of ‘woman’
Plug into the creative force.
Let it flow through you and clear other lines.
In the process, you will see
The value of you.
What you would do anything to honor.
And the “anything” is dedicating all efforts
To shunt the light
That others may see.
