Selling Out the Sacred

We have been seduced by shortcuts, selling out our wisdom for the safety and status of masculine-defined worlds, bartering away our value for conformity. In this trade, we have not only abandoned ourselves but also men, depriving them of the initiation into a sacred world of soul that is the jurisdiction of the feminine. When we refuse to inhabit our power, we reinforce the very systems of dependency we claim to resent, holding others responsible for our happiness and suffering under the consequences of our own unclaimed agency. To stay in the wound, to insist on special accommodation and blame, is to remain spiritually prepubescent—starved of the generative force that only self-claimed power can provide.
