The Raw, Unadulterated Pulse of Desire

Inside of us lies the raw, unadulterated pulse of desire. Outside lies the world of phenomena. Our life is the mutually influencing conversation that happens between these two poles. Waves of desire flow out, reach the environment, draw information back in, adjust, and flow out again.

Identity serves as the homeostasis of the mind, maintaining stability by erecting boundaries around experiences it deems, “me,” and repelling those it considers, “not me.”

This rigid identification causes us to filter our perceptions, responding to stimuli with automatic reactions: contracting to what we deem negative, grasping to what we deem positive, or tuning
out altogether.

These reactions reinforce a static identity, which clings to familiarity and rejects the unknown.

Eros, on the other hand, seeks dynamic reality. It is the force that moves us beyond the confines of identity, dissolving the filter that separates us from the world. In the Erotic state, attention is rooted in the body, allowing us to experience stimuli without automatic response.

This spaciousness within the mind transforms stagnant energy into dynamic flow, fostering a seamless connection between desire and phenomena. By embracing this dynamic process, we transcend rigid identity and engage with life in its fullest, most interconnected form.
